1. Non-Commercial Fan Project & Trademark Notice

PokeBox is a free, hobby fan-made project created strictly for Pokémon card collectors and enthusiasts. It is entirely non-commercial: no fees, subscriptions, advertisements, or paid features are ever charged or collected.

Pokémon and Pokémon character names, cards, artwork, symbols, and related media are trademarks and copyrights of Nintendo, Creatures Inc., and GAME FREAK inc. PokeBox is not affiliated with, endorsed, sponsored, or supported by Nintendo, Creatures Inc., or The Pokémon Company in any way. All trademarks and copyrighted materials belong to their respective owners and are displayed here solely for educational, informational, and personal collection cataloging purposes under fair use.

2. Privacy Policy (How We Handle Your Data)

We believe in strict data minimization and user privacy. Because PokeBox is a non-commercial hobby tool, we only collect what is strictly necessary to provide the service:

  • Authentication via Google OAuth: When you sign in with Google, we only request the openid email scope. We receive and store solely your email address and a unique authentication ID. We do not access, request, or store your passwords, contacts, profile photos, or Google account files.
  • Collection Data: When logged in, the card quantities, custom collection names, and public share settings you create are stored in our database so you can access them across multiple devices.
  • No Marketing, No Tracking: We will never send promotional emails, newsletters, marketing communications, or spam. Your email address is never shared, sold, or rented to advertisers or third parties.
  • Infrastructure & Third Parties: Authentication and database hosting are provided using Supabase. Standard server logs (e.g. IP address, browser type) may be processed temporarily by infrastructure providers solely for security, network diagnostics, and DDoS prevention.

3. Terms of Service

By accessing or using PokeBox, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms:

  • Provided "As-Is": PokeBox is provided free of charge on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind. While we do our best to ensure reliable service and accurate card information, we do not guarantee uninterrupted uptime or that card data, images, or pricing indications are error-free.
  • Marketplace & External Links: Any external links (such as TCGPlayer or Cardmarket) are provided for reference only. PokeBox is not a party to any transactions you may conduct on external platforms.
  • Acceptable Use: You agree not to abuse the platform, attempt unauthorized access, flood or reverse-engineer the API, or perform automated scraping that could degrade performance for other users.
  • Limitation of Liability: Under no circumstances will the creators of PokeBox be liable for any data loss, collection sync issues, or service interruptions.

4. Your Rights & Data Deletion

In accordance with global privacy principles and GDPR regulations, you have full control over your data:

  • You can clear all cards from your collection at any time via the "Clear collection" button.
  • You can delete collections at any time via the "Delete collection" button.
  • You can permanently delete your account, along with all your saved collections, cards, and email address, at any time directly in your Profile settings.
